This is a gorgeous Dendritic Quartz Flame. It has exceptional clarity and even shows some rainbows. The Dendrite inclusions run throughout most of the flame and are beautiful! This is a very aesthetic and appealing crystal. Dendritic Quartz has the appearance of tree-like fern shapes and branches that appear to be fossilized plant, but are really inorganic manganese oxide. These inclusions form from traces of moisture and manganese that become trapped inside of the quartz forming fissures that cause them to branch out like tree limbs or fern-like inclusions. Dendritic Quartz can have inclusions of other minerals also, including Chlorite, Goethite, Chrysocolla, Azurite, or Malachite. These inclusions have the ability to tint their host red, orange, yellow, green, blue and black.
