Dendritic Quartz has the appearance of tree-like fern shapes and branches that appear to be fossilized plant, but are really inorganic manganese oxide. These inclusions form from traces of moisture and manganese that become trapped inside of the quartz, forming fissures that cause them to branch out like tree limbs or fern-like inclusions.
